As product compliance engineer, you will be part of the European Standards & Environment Team (EST), which is responsible for ensuring compliance of all products of our clien to applicable European regulations and standards. Your primary role will involve monitoring and reporting on the regulatory issues relating to Low Voltage Directive (LV-D), Electric Magnetic Compatibility Directive (EMC-D), Radio Equipment Directive (RE-D), and other emerging regulations on cyber-security/resilience, AI and software compliance.

Product Compliance Engineer
Key responsibilities:
Conduct in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex technical and legal issues related to LV-D/EMC-D/RE-D compliance considering different market access requirements applicable to a wide range of products including Televisions and Monitors, AV equipment, Household appliances, Heating and Cooling equipment, and Vehicle components.
Update HQ and Business Unit (BU) product compliance/standard teams regularly on the latest regulatory development concerning product safety, EMC/EMF/SAR, Radio Spectrum Efficiency, Spectrum Allocation and Use Conditions, Product Interoperability and Performance requirements focusing on EU and member state legal requirements and harmonized standards (European Norms).
Analyse, interpret, and report on cybersecurity, personal data and privacy protection and Artificial Intelligence (AI) conformity focusing on their implications for product compliance.
Provide compliance guidance and advice on both technical and administrative requirements and handle market surveillance cases by providing required technical documents to member state authorities in cooperation with relevant BU compliance/standard teams and EU sales subsidiaries;
Represent our clients interest in European industry associations (e.g. Digital Europe, APPLiA), liaise with external conformity assessment bodies, and participate in standardization activities at the local and European level (e.g. CENELEC, ETSI).
What are we looking for?
A successful candidate for the Product Compliance Engineer position should have the following profile:
Master’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering and/or IT/telecom engineering
In-depth knowledge of European regulations relevant to LGE product compliance and CE marking;
Minimum 3-5 years working experience in a similar function, preferably within a relevant industry;
Proven track-record on the ability to analyze complex technical and legal documents to identify and solve critical issues
Fluent in English both verbal and written
Comfortable working in a multicultural environment
Strong team player, contributing actively to a cooperative work environment
Proactive and initiative-driven, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
Ambition to develop a career as a top industry expert within 4-5 years
The following competencies are desirable:
Familiarity with product compliance testing and certification, in particular in the field of EMC and Radio Frequency
Extensive knowledge of technical features of electrical/electronic products (hardware and software)
Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting and reporting on information from diverse sources, ensuring accurate and timely dissemination of relevant information;
Excellent planning and organizing skills to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Strong presentation and communication skills to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively;
Flexibility in adapting to changing requirements and prioritie
