Regulatory Affairs Specialist
Job Purpose
We are looking for a skilled professional to manage and execute regulatory and registration processes, ensuring compliance with both local and international regulations, particularly in relation to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) for products under the company’s brand. The role involves advising on regulatory policies, ensuring product registration is up to standard, and mitigating risks through proactive processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Affairs Management: Take ownership of regulatory services, ensuring all activities meet required standards and regulations.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with cross-functional teams (R&D, HSE, Marketing, Sales) to ensure all regulatory requirements for product development, marketing, and distribution are met.
- Process Documentation & Analysis: Analyze existing processes (“As Is”) and design the desired future processes (“To Be”), documenting changes required for improved accuracy and efficiency.
- Compliance Assurance: Ensure that products comply with applicable regulations and certifications, focusing on legal requirements for the relevant markets and customers.
- Advisory Role: Provide guidance and solutions to resolve any regulatory challenges faced by internal teams, particularly in relation to product compliance.
- Operational Monitoring: Ensure that all business activities align with commercial regulations and policies, minimizing business risks while maintaining the company’s reputation.
- Industry Trends & Horizon Scanning: Stay updated on the latest regulatory trends and developments by attending relevant conferences and reviewing industry publications.
- Public Relations & Government Affairs: Develop and execute plans to address key aspects of government relations and public affairs as they relate to the product’s regulatory and registration requirements.
- Documentation Preparation: Oversee the creation and management of essential documents, such as safety data sheets, export licenses, and product labels, ensuring all required information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Business Solutions & Advice: Assist in resolving complex queries from both internal and external stakeholders by providing detailed regulatory insights and guidance.
- Quality, Health, Environment, and Safety (HSE): Monitor and review performance against key HSE metrics and standards. Implement improvements to ensure alignment with internal policies and minimize non-compliance.

Education & Experience
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Chemistry, Environmental Science)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a regulatory or compliance-focused role, ideally within a chemical or industrial environment
