Job Description

Sales / Customer Support and support Account Managers/Sales in the Southern European region (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France / remote support)

Sales related activities:

•    Generating quotations and offers in response to a customer request
•    Support with new customer account setup by providing the customer information requested by Finance
•    Order Processing – Input customer orders and generate order acknowledgements for customers
•    Monitor open customer orders and notify the appropriate department if order is not being progressed efficiently
•    Communicate price changes, create and maintain pricing documentation and system information
•    Support ad-hoc document requests from customers e.g. SDS & Technical Bulletins
•    Assure fulfilment of special customer requests by communicating with appropriate departments to facilitate the request e.g. logistics and purchasing
•    Generating regular and ad-hoc reports for sales management (e.g. monthly report)
•    Maintain customer contact database
•    Support Account Managers/Outside Sales by identifying new opportunities and opportunities for up- and link-selling
•    Providing sales related information for internal third parties (finance, marketing, quality, IT, etc.)
•    Support Finance / Accounts Receivable with cash collections / mediation in the event of a customer dispute
•    Filing sales documentation according to internal and external (legal) requirements

Customer Service related activities:

•    Helping to build good customer relations
•    Return Material / Credit Requests – Coordinate and manage the customer return material and credit request process. Make sure the company guidelines are followed and all credits are approved by Management.
•    Customer Complaint Process – Handling complaints/queries from customers including follow-up with internal and external customers to reach an acceptable conclusion by all parties
•    Supporting customers by coordinating actions of internal departments to provide acceptable solutions to customers

Role Specific Information

•    Support customers in the Southern European region (Italy, Spain, Portugal, France / remote support)

Requirements / Qualifications:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Discipline or Communications
•    Experience in Inside Sales, Customer Service or a similar role
•    Experience with various ERP software applications (SAP and JDE an advantage)
•    PC knowledge with experience in multiple software packages
•    English, German, Italian and French (or a combination of these languages)
•    Other European Languages an advantage
•    Analysing Information and Problem Solving
•    Basic knowledge of products and processes
•    Self-Starter
•    Keen to learn
•    Good communication skills
•    Establish an awareness of customer history and requirements
•    Understand products, its manufacturing processes, and end use applications
•    The ability to work well under stress
•    Pricing know-how / Competitor awareness
