As Research Director Market Research, you’ll be part of a team of passionate marketers and researchers who are determined to put the voice of consumers at the heart of businesses. With your passion for online market research, you inspire marketers of cool companies and you are jointly responsible for their commercial development. By being close to the customer and his challenges, you convince them of the added value of our customer’s interesting proposition. You take appropriate measures at all times to continue to exceed customer expectations and provide a first-class service.

Thanks to your passion for research, your strong consulting skills and knowledge, you are able to build a long-term partnership with your clients. You provide your customers with actionable and advanced marketing recommendations that impact their decision-making and strengthen their business. As part of a team, you share your marketing (research) expertise with your colleagues. You act as a source of inspiration and you actively develop and support the internal transfer of knowledge. Moreover, you apply your coaching skills to motivate and guide your projectteams.

Responsibilities as Research Director Market Research

• Responsible for the complete design, organization and execution of market research projects
• Responsible for translating business problems into concrete and feasible research projects
• Prepare insightful reports based on the analysis made by the researchers and based on both quantitative and qualitative studies
• Presenting recommendations to customers and organizing creative customer workshops in which you, together with the customer team, convert insights and recommendations into concrete action plans
• Identify and actively initiate business opportunities with both existing customers and prospects
• Drafting and presenting strong proposals to customers
• Responsible for an existing portfolio of accounts, but also for the further development of new accounts

Your Profile as Research Director Market Research

• A university or HBO degree (preferably in communication, marketing, marketing research, business economics or economic psychology)
• 7+ years of experience in a market research role
• Sound knowledge of the market research industry and research methodologies
• Strong commercial skills with proven success – both in account development and customer acquisition
• A strong customer network on the Dutch market is a plus
• Fluent in English, both oral and written. Dutch or another language is a plus
• Relevant agency side experience is required
• Good oral and written presentation skills
• Entrepreneurial and market-driven mind with strategic vision and focus
• High level of pro-activity, initiative, energy, enthusiasm and professionalism
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
• Leadership and coaching qualities
• Active listening and critical thinking
