Job Description

We are looking for a Customer Service professional to support the European Customers within a Sales environment with a particular focus on coordinating the implementation and ongoing management of Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI, VMI, CMI).

The Customer Service- Process & Automation Specialist will be responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing support of other sales tools and processes (using dashboards, Microsoft applications and SharePoint).

Support customers by providing necessary information, feedback and communication in a timely manner. Providing documentation, data entry support and information exchange functions arising from the sales process. Undertakes special projects upon the request of European Inside Sales Director.

Data Maintenance/Management for the European Sales, Inside Sales & Customer Service Team.

Primary Function:

  • Coordinate the implementation and life-cycle management of Electronic Data Interfaces (EDI, VMI, CMI).
  • Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Improves Sales processes by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Training and Support of end-users in the operation of EDI software solutions.
  • Design, implementation and ongoing support of other sales tools and processes (using dashboards, Microsoft applications and SharePoint).
  • Back-up support for the European Engineering Team (the team responsible for business, tools and reporting automation within the Supply Chain Management group).
  • Data Maintenance/Management for the European Sales, Inside Sales & Customer Service Team.

Inside Sales / Customer Service responsibilities:

  • Execute account management and sales processes
  • Preparation of quotations, negotiate prices, delivery times and delivery conditions, prepare and close sales within the mandate
  • Input of orders into the system, taking into account the minimum order value, margin, lead-time etc.
  • Administrative processing of orders
  • Monitor and communicate order status
  • Supporting customers, solving problems from a customer perspective and supporting the delivery of the desired product
  • Provide samples to customers
  • Managing external customers
  • Carrying out activities aimed at increasing the number of customers and increasing sales (share-gain)
  • Supporting colleagues from other sales offices
  • Register and follow-up quality complaints with internal and external customers.
  • Communicate with customers (business / company updates etc.)
  • Forecasting monthly sales
  • Generate regular reports for Sales Management (or upon request)
  • Develop clear output to support Company KPI’s
  • Additional tasks according to the special task list (to be assigned by the European Inside Sales Director).

Strategic Focus

To set up/roll out and manage the European Customers’ EDI / VMI / CMI interfaces.

Design, implementation and ongoing support of other sales tools and processes (using dashboards, Microsoft applications and SharePoint)

Back-up support for the European Engineering Team (the team responsible for business, tools and reporting automation within the Supply Chain Management group).
